Key purpose of the role

Channel Account Manager (Field) representing the ITS sales channel in the business telecoms market. The role holder is responsible for leading the sales and financial performance of channel
partners to achieve the annual budget and business/personal objectives. This includes executing the ITS business strategy for the partner channel, increasing market share, total contract value, partner volumes, revenue/gross margin growth.

Key Accountabilities

  • Driving the sales and financial performance through the ITS partner channel to meet the annual budget, revenue and gross margin
  • Accountable for partner sales value and volume and driving YoY growth
  • Recruitment of new partners as well as management of existing partners
  • Responsible for partner advocacy through the channel and continuous improvement, in line with the ITS partner satisfaction programme
  • Ensuring a professional sales approach at all times through the partner channel
  • Responsible for shaping and developing the partner proposition and contracts, including new network build locations
  • Responsible for external partner relationships to support the ITS partner channel
  • Responsible for ensuring the partner channel meets all regulatory, legal and security obligations, in line with ITS policies

Person Specification Overview

Experience

  • Success in selling connectivity services in the telecoms sector
  • Considerable and relevant experience in channel/partner sales

Knowledge

  • Excellent knowledge of telecoms connectivity products
  • Strong understanding of channel dynamics and motivations
  • Market insight especially indirect channels and full fibre
