Key purpose of the role

Channel Account Manager (Desk) representing the ITS sales channel in the business telecoms market. The role holder is responsible for managing channel partners to achieve the annual budget and business/personal objectives. This includes recruiting new partners, managing and growing existing partners, increasing market share, total contract value, partner volumes, revenue/gross margin growth.

Key Accountabilities

  • Driving the sales and financial performance through the ITS partner channel to meet the annual budget, revenue and gross margin
  • Accountable for desk partner sales, value and volume and driving YoY growth
  • Recruitment of new partners as well as management of existing partners
  • Responsible for partner advocacy through the channel and continuous improvement, in line with the ITS partner satisfaction programme
  • Ensuring a professional sales approach at all times through the partner channel
  • Responsible for ensuring the partner channel meets all regulatory, legal and security obligations, in line with ITS policies
  • Provide support to partners and resellers on all sales related matters
  • Create and issue sales quotations to partners
  • Proactively recruit dealer partners and contractors across ITS networks
  • Generate partner leads, and follow up on campaigns set by marketing

Person Specification Overview

Experience

  • Success in selling connectivity services in telecoms sector
  • Relevant experience in channel/partner sales
  • Experience in a call centre is desirable but not essential

Knowledge

  • Knowledge of telecoms connectivity products
  • Proficient in Microsoft/Excel/PowerPoint
