Work colleagues to take a 10,000ft plunge for charity

A group of daredevil work colleagues are skydiving to raise money for a local hospice.

ITS Technology Group co-workers Alison Perry, Sam Ruocco, Autumn Johnstone and Claire Davies will take to the skies and complete the tandem 10,000ft charity jump on Saturday 24thApril, raising vital funds for the Woodlands Hospice, Liverpool.

Alison, part of the ITS finance team, is a patron and long-time supporter of the hospice, having raised awareness and funds for the hospice for over a decade.

With fundraising opportunities few and far between over the last 12 months owing to lockdown restrictions, she will lead her colleagues in the white-knuckle skydive as they aim to raise £2,000 for the good cause.

A registered charity, Woodlands Hospice is dedicated to providing hospice care for the people of North Liverpool, South Sefton and Kirkby in Knowsley.

Through its specialist care, Woodlands aims to improve the lives of people who have life-limiting illnesses. It helps them to live actively and be as independent as possible. This support often extends to patients’ carers, family and close friends.

Throughout the year ITS’ charity committee encourages staff to raise funds in the community. And the intrepid team of Alison, Sam, Autumn and Claire are now encouraging friends, family, co-workers and associates to back them.

“The skydive gives us an opportunity to give back to a great charity which has already helped so many people over the years, and I know will continue to help many others.

“A 10,000ft jump from a plane is no mean feat, so we’re keen to spread the word far and wide to help ramp up support ahead of the day!”
