A Word from the CEO - Creating a Level Playing Field
June 2016 - In the news this month we have read that BDUK has proposed a revised Code of Conduct for tackling the ‘Use of Existing Infrastructure‘. We see this as a positive step to encourage a level playing field. This may mean that in some circumstances that we have to declare our infrastructure, as will other much larger service providers.
At ITS we believe this will help businesses and communities understand what is physically near to them so that they are able to make an informed choice about the service providers they can work with. If you are a community looking to improve your broadband connectivity we can help by designing, building and operating new infrastructure in order to provide local businesses, organisations and homes superfast services.
The improvements that we have made over the past few months to our support desk have started to take shape. The volume of the support tickets we receive have been consistently lower, the average caller wait time is at an all-time average low of six seconds. However we are aware that parts of some networks are still waiting for upgrades to take place.
We completed an initial series of wireless sector upgrades over our North and Mid wales network over the last few weeks. Further upgrades and improvements will take place as part of a larger six month network upgrade programme that will commence in earnest early in July.
The team is expanding and we are actively recruiting a Network Systems Administrator, Marketing Executive and Project Support Officer. If you are interested in applying please send a cover letter and an up to date version of your CV to email@example.com.
