A Word from the CEO - Building a World Class Team
July 2016 - The recent and forecasted growth within ITS is unprecedented. In order to manage this growth and strive to provide a world class service, we are continuing to invest in strengthening our team and therefore we have made two exceptional appointments in the last month. It is vital that we have the right people, processes and technology in place to underpin and manage that performance.
Firstly, we welcome Rod Lawrence as Head of Project Strategy and Pip Shelton as Group COO. Rod has a telecoms background spanning 20 years with expertise in large scale connectivity and WAN networks. Pip’s expertise is in ITIL and continuous service improvement, with a solid background in operational resource and client management. Read more about their appointments in our latest news. We also are currently looking to recruit a further five people in operations and one in finance. These roles are open to our internal team members and also we would be happy to accept applications from external candidates via referrals, so if you feel you know anyone suitable, ask them to email firstname.lastname@example.org.
Our pilot project for the major network upgrade and extension to our North and Mid Wales Network has seen a vast improvement in speeds. The core network and relays that we upgraded has enabled some customers to get up to 100Mbps on business tariffs and 30Mbps on consumer tariffs across this rural fixed wireless access network. Further planned upgrades and extensions over the next six months will provide many more customers superfast speeds across all of our networks.
Finally we are proud to announce that we have been shortlisted in Corporate Vision Magazine’s ‘Technology Innovator Awards’ for ‘Best Highspeed Broadband Provider’. The winner is due to be announced soon so fingers crossed.
I trust my latest short update provides you with some insight as to the dedication and commitment of everyone at ITS in providing our valued customers with the world class service we are striving to deliver.
