Meet the Team – Head of Strategic Partnerships
Lisa Harding, Head of Strategic Partnerships shares a day in her life at ITS.
How do you get the day started?
At around 7am with a very large cup of coffee!
What is your role? How has it changed over time?
Currently I am managing our wholesale partner programme for ITS. We have won the build of a number of large fibre networks across the UK. We are now offering these networks on a wholesale open access platform. Collaborating with partners enables us to extend our market reach which in turns enables us to offer better services to the end-user customers. My role at ITS has also changed over the last few years and has involved working was an Account Director on major projects and tenders.
What does your role entail?
I have been developing the Wholesale Partner Programme. We now have a partner portal that is live on our website, comprehensive documentation (e.g. SLAs), defined product sets and marketing intelligence for each network. My role includes the recruitment and development of partners for our programme. The partner programme has been well received with lots of partners contacting us to ask how they can get involved. I am also responsible for working tenders that relate large network builds.
What do like best about your role?
The variety keeps my role interesting, I may be in London one week then Bristol the next. I also enjoy developing relationships with our partners, some of which I have known from past projects. I am a secret fibre network geek. I’ve been hooked since developing my first large fibre network, which was York in 2009.
Tell us something we would not know about you?
I have walked on fire for charity. It was quite frightening but very exhilarating and worth it for a good cause. I am officially a Lady by title and have two hidden tattoos, the last two points I can only expand on over a cocktail.
