ITS Supports Local Charities that are Relevant to our Business
ITS Technology Group (ITS) are a small but fast growing Chester based (Alternative Network) Alt Net provider that always find time to support many local causes. We help promote workplace wellbeing and raise awareness in the wider community and amongst ITS customers.
Over recent years, the number of fund raising activities and local charities receiving sponsorship from ITS has increased. ITS embrace working with the local community and are proud to confirm an ongoing involvement with ‘not for profit and community’ organisations such as Chester Phoenix Basketball, Chester Football Club, Newton Athletic FC (under 8’s team), and one that is very close to our hearts, Royal Liverpool University Hospital Trust (R Charity).
ITS doesn’t just fund one off events, we have long-term partnerships and proactively support various fund raising initiatives. We get involved with a variety of campaigns and encourage our trusted work colleagues to be a part of it too. The next event we will be attending and supporting is The Royal Ball at Anfield on 29th Sept, 2017
Roy Shelton, CEO, ITS commented,
“Instead of making one-off corporate charitable donations, year on year we continue to invest in Chester FC and Cheshire Phoenix Basketball, etc, because its local businesses like these that get our younger generations involved in sport and wellbeing. We hold a range of match day and season tickets, and it’s great to be able to share them with the well deserving ITS team, their families and our valued customers! I’m sure our favoured charities would agree that ITS help them achieve and sustain positive impact year on year.
We match fund all our employees fund raising efforts pound for pound. ITS understand that often staff want to volunteer or raise money, but can’t find time in their busy lives to go ahead and do it. Participating in our employer-sponsored activities affords team members the opportunity to do things where they don’t feel like they are taking time away from their work or families to help others. We support employees with time off for events, pay travel expenses and to attend and promote charity events.
When raising money together employees partner across departments and work in team environments outside of their usual set-up, this promotes a greater sense unity among employees as they work towards a common goal.”
Roy explains why R Charity is special to ITS
“As one of the leading centres’ for pancreatic research in the UK, The Royal Liverpool is particularly important to ITS and our shareholders. Some years ago, I spent many months at The Royal Liverpool Hospital as an inpatient; they saved my life. I can never repay their kindness and I am eternally grateful to everyone that aided my recovery. “
