National Network Goes Live
ITS announces news of significant investment in their National Network, which is now live.
As a direct result of receiving funding from Maven Capital Partners, ITS have invested heavily in carrier grade hardware, used to power their core local and National Network. Adding the role of traditional ISP to their portfolio, each of ITS’ 21 networks connects directly to the internet. Customers will benefit from the very latest hardware installations as future network scalability is guaranteed and more competitive packages will become available.
ITS now have a presence in Telehouse North, Telehouse East and Manchester which house their own hardware. In addition, ITS have become a London Internet Exchange (LINX) member, which guarantees a more direct connection for all customers, to UK based websites. It means faster and uninterrupted streaming and downloads to popular sites such as BBC iPlayer, ITV Hub, iTunes and Microsoft, to access a range of cloud based services .
Having standardised their technology stack with global leader, Huawei, all 21 of ITS’ current networks will be migrated on to the new National Network, including the vast networks across North Wales, Nottingham, Bristol and London Borough of Hammersmith and Fulham. This will allow ITS and its wholesale partners to have greater control and visibility to users, as well as access to products and services including VoIP, Unified Communication and cloud based services.
Dan Jeffcott, Director of ISP and MSP at Huawei UK said, “Huawei have been working with ITS for over two years. Our solutions teams have worked closely with ITS’ architects and engineers exploring different technology strategies and approaches. The UK ISP market is hugely important for Huawei and we believe we have an unrivalled technology offering which covers almost every element of the network from data centre infrastructure and core network to edge and access technology with high performance, high reliability CPE. We’ve really enjoyed working with ITS and it’s great to be part of their future.”
Tim Mercer, CEO of Vapour Cloud commented, “We are a long-standing ITS partner and have always been impressed by the progressive nature of the company. But this latest investment will represent even more connectivity capabilities for the clients we collectively work with. I look forward to our relationship – and the services we deliver – growing significantly over the next few years.”
Rod Lawrence, Head of Product and Network Strategy at ITS Technology Group concluded, “This is exciting news for ITS, it opens up lots of opportunities for our customers and wholesale partners. It mitigates cost complexity and risk for our multisite enterprise customers throughout the UK. Whether working directly with ITS or through approved wholesale partners, we can offer fast, reliable and robust connectivity supported by a world class service team.”
